Taste & Torque Festival was Food Truck Finder’s first event, co-hosted with Garage Torque at Morisset Showground on Sunday 23 August 2026.
The day brought together 14 food trucks, a static show of cars and bikes, local market stalls, live music from DV8 Newcastle and rides for the kids. Adults paid a gold coin donation at the gate, with all proceeds going to Beyond Blue.

Show cars and bikes
All makes were welcome, including Aussie, American, Euro and Japanese, classics and modified. Trophies included Best Euro, Best American, Best Australian, Best Japanese, Best Presented, Most WTF and the Barry Hill Memorial Trophy (Bazza’s Choice).
Top food trucks
Garage Torque announced that the top food trucks of the day would be crowned at around 1:30pm.
Family day out
Kids’ rides, local market stalls and live rock music ran across the showground from 10am to 3pm.

Taste & Torque Festival 2026 only happened because of Garage Torque, DV8 Newcastle, NSW SES, Beyond Blue, Hunter Valley Performance & Service Centre, The Rummys, B & R Motorsport and every stallholder, show car owner and family who came along.
