How our food truck listings work

Food Truck Finder brings together information published by truck owners and clearly identified editorial guides. Here is how to read it and what to check before making plans.

Profiles and menus come from truck owners

Truck names, descriptions, photos, menu items, prices and public contact links come from the operator’s listing. We may tidy formatting, categorise food or add a factual editorial summary. An owner’s claim in a listing is not an independent inspection, accreditation or recommendation from Food Truck Finder.

A base suburb is not a trading stop

A profile’s “based in” location describes its home area. Area pages may also include places the operator says it serves. Neither establishes that a truck is open at that location today. Check the operator’s current published schedule and confirm a stop before travelling.

Prices and dietary information can change

Menu prices are shown in Australian dollars. A published menu is a guide to the operator’s offering; availability and prices may change. Speak to the operator about ingredients, allergens and cross-contact before ordering. A dietary label is not a guarantee that a meal is suitable for your needs.

What “updated” means

The public site is scheduled to refresh listing data nightly. The update date on a truck profile comes from that listing’s last update; a site refresh does not mean the operator has reconfirmed every detail. If a refresh fails its checks, we retain the previous published site.

What appears in the directory

We use active public listings and exclude identified demonstration or placeholder records. Pages need useful description or menu content before they are included in our search sitemap. Specific food-and-area pages are created only when enough relevant listings support them.

Catering and events

The catering shortlist uses explicit statements in owners’ public descriptions. It does not establish a booking, current availability or a guaranteed travel area. Event attendance is stated only where we have an identified line-up; appearing at a previous event does not imply attendance at a future one.

Guides and corrections

Our guides name their publisher, review date and sources. Council requirements and event details can change, so follow the linked official source for current information. We do not create customer ratings or reviews where we have none to show.

Truck owners can manage their listing through Food Truck Finder. To report an error, email support@foodtruckfinder.me with the page address and the detail that needs checking.
